Group Description

The Zeitgeist Movement is a global grass roots social movement, and the activist arm of The Venus Project. The Zeitgeist Movements objective is to spread awareness about our true potential upon this planet.

Only by knowledge and understanding of what causes environmental waste, poverty, crime, war, and corruption, we can address and solve the root cause. It is evident that our current political and economical systems are failing. It is our responsibility to stop looking for a quick fix, and take initiative to create a sustainable planet based on abundance that will render fruits for generations to come.

Modern society has access to highly advanced technology and can make available food, clothing, housing and medical care; update our educational system; and develop a limitless supply of renewable, non-contaminating energy. Everyone can enjoy a very high standard of living with all of the amenities of a high technological society. However, profit motivations have hindered technology from being implemented into helping humanity. Imagine what could have been accomplished if the money used for wars, were used on things that would benefit all of us.

If we choose to conform to the limitations of our present monetary-based economy, war, poverty, corruption, crime, and the destruction of our home will be inevitable. Its evident that we need to open our minds and create new ideas that will benefit all of earths children, and not just a few.
Limits only exist in the mind. Its time to stop limiting ourselves and realize the true potential of humanity as a whole.
